Let the turkey chill in the sink & make your plans to come to Ayers-Kreh Christmas Tree Farm on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. We are open on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 9 am to 4:30 pm, rain, snow or shine.

Just look at that view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Plan ahead & make it a staycation: hike, drive the Parkway, visit Chateau Morrisette or grab a bite to eat in one of several nice dining spots.

You might just have a real character at the wheel of the tractor. Tractors can only run when the fields are dry. We are open on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 9 am to 4:30 pm, rain, snow or shine.

It's more than a hike. It's a time of sharing with family & making memories to last a lifetime.

We are open from 9 am to 4:30 pm beginning on the Friday after Thanksgiving - rain or shine. Weather can change on a dime - this picture and the next were taken approximately 30 minutes apart. We pull wagons with tractors as long as the fields are firm. If it is muddy, the ruts would ruin the fields and the tractors would get stuck or slide.

What a difference 30 minutes can make.

We have plenty of trees, some of which have been growing for a decade to make them sizable for sale as Christmas trees.

Freckles thinks you're all there to see her, but we know better!

This tree topped 18' and was a special chore to get loaded on top of the truck!

Your kids will work together to choose & cut a tree. These are family bonds.

We are open from 9 am to 4:30 pm beginning on the Friday after Thanksgiving - rain or shine. We welcome you into the "Parlor" for hot chocolate & apples (as supplies hold out).

This house is a memorial to dozens of children, fine adults and a history of farming tobacco, apples, chickens, cattle & Christmas trees.

Above the smokehouse, a room called the "Dormitory". This room was used to house teachers who were given room & board as a part of their pay. One of these teachers, Rachel Orr, married William H. Ayers.

The boxes were once filled with chickens and chick, providing the family with eggs and chickens for eating and for sale.

The Mill House is now the center of operations for the cutting & baling of Christmas Trees, but it once housed a mill stone that was powered by mules.

We lost the Tobacco Barn in 2013. It's difficult to maintain the integrity of some of these farm buildings given their obsolescence.

The Barn is bursting at the seams, full of hay for the cattle.

The Apple House once warehoused apples.
